Inner Turmoil

I'm having conflicting thoughts on what to do with this blog. I have a lot of art in my brain and a lot of feelings too, but I don't know how much I really need to share with the whole World Wide Web. Ya know?

If I am creating and blogging here solely for my own records, than why do it online at all. I have a paper, real-life journal and I really enjoy making and pasting things into that, so... what's the point.

Maybe we bloggers just want to feel like someone else is invested in our lives, even if we don't know who. Is that the self-centered human condition at its most romanticized? Do I really want to open myself to the criticism of others who are more 'educated' on my musings than I? Do I want to hear that they think or do I just want someone to take note of what I think? Why do people think that their thoughts are worth posting into the whole world after all? What would the world be like if everyone kept to themselves and only said their thoughts out loud? What about if we had megaphones attached to our brains and could never keep our thoughts silent? Would that be better or worse for relationships? Can I seriously write and post these thoughts without judging myself and criticizing as I imagine I would as an outsider? Can I fathom re-reading this later without shaking my head? Or will I be totally amused by the way my brain works? Will you, reader, be at least amused? Or will anyone ever read this at all?

I dunno...

Also I love the word 'interrobang' and I'm writing that so that when I can't remember what it's called I can remember at least that I posted it in my blog and therefore can access this memory from anywhere in the world. Sweet perk.

the beginning

who says what i have to say is important enough to post it in a public forum for all to read?

haven't thought of anything big enough to shout yet.
